The Old School is a new self-catering development – and it’s also the perfect place for you to retreat, relax and recharge. This exciting refurbishment of the old village school provides four bright and spacious self-contained apartments, each with one, two or three bedrooms.
Set in the heart of nature, surrounded by stunning scenery and amazing wildlife, the village of Dalavich is certainly “off the main road”. On the shores of Loch Awe along a 14-mile single-track road, it’s just a couple of hours’ drive from Glasgow, but it’s a different world.
Yet there’s plenty to do to help you recharge your batteries. You’ll find numerous lochside and forest walks, including the Dalavich Oakwood Trail, and a number of attractive cycle routes. Bikes and boats are available for hire in the village. Keep your eyes peeled for wildlife and you might even spot an otter, a wildcat or an eagle en route. And if you’re more interested on the wildlife on the end of your fishing line, some of the largest brown trout in Europe are waiting to be caught in Loch Awe. You’re sure to catch trout in Loch Avich – just 10 minutes’ drive away - and fishing permits are available locally.

Each ground-floor apartment has one, two or three bedrooms, with a bright, open-plan kitchen/living area and a bathroom or shower room.
